Help Protect Earth’s Most Threatened Biodiversity

Conservation Imperatives are the most urgent unprotected sites for globally threatened species. If you are a local NGO, Indigenous community, or regional conservation group working to protect one of these sites, we invite you to submit an inquiry.

This page is for organizations seeking to formally designate a Conservation Imperative site for permanent protection and inclusion in the Conserve.org portfolio. Selected sites may become eligible for donor support, visibility, and inclusion in our public project listings.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome proposals that:

  • Are located within Conservation Imperative areas, as identified in the Dinerstein et al. 2024 publication

  • Are currently unprotected and urgently threatened

  • Demonstrate strong local leadership and long-term conservation feasibility

Eligible submissions should reflect both the urgency of biodiversity protection and the viability of legal safeguards within a reasonable timeframe. Projects must be community-supported and able to demonstrate credible implementation capacity.

How It Works

  1. Submit an inquiry using the embedded form below.

  2. Submissions will be reviewed by the Conserve team for alignment with CI science and our conservation approach.

  3. Eligible proposals will be invited to submit a full application.

  4. Accepted proposals will be added to the Conserve.org portfolio, visible to donors and supporters worldwide.
