Our Story

This story begins in our childhoods, being outside, playing with some snails, watching pillbugs crawl, or seeing a lizard dart for the first time.

This story finds its roots in the experience of protecting one acre of land and wanting to protect another, to see all life on Earth thrive.

.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to stop the 6th Extinction. To do this, we will support 360 million acres of new land and water protection in 5 years.

Our community is you: village leaders, scientists, authors, conservation biologists, legal teams, children, and visionaries.

Our Method

Approaches to blending science and community-led protection:

The sites we support are grounded in science, identified as “Conservation Imperatives” in peer-reviewed research published in Frontiers in Science. These are the areas most critical to preventing imminent species extinction.

Through Conserve.org, local conservation teams share list their projects. The portal is a nexus for updates on the progress toward the 360 million acres of protection. Every site undergoes a rigorous review and proposal process before being made available for support on Conserve.org.

We are driven by a belief that lasting impact comes from supporting the people closest to the land. Conserve.org is built around collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to protecting life on Earth.

Our Approach

How Conserve.org works:

  1. Sites are proposed by trusted local partners and reviewed for biodiversity value and feasibility.

  2. Once approved, each site is listed with clear donation options.

  3. Donors select an acre to fund and make a tax-deductible donation.

  4. The full donation is passed directly to the local nonprofit via a secure payment system.

  5. A 100% match to all donations is applied by foundation purposes.

  6. Donations are restricted to land purchase only. Conserve covers transaction fees.

  7. The site partner provides tax receipts and manages the legal conservation process.

Our Values: Conservation. Caring. Community.
